About The Position

VG Meats is seeking a Route Driver in Toronto, ON! As a Route Driver, you'll handle daily deliveries from our pickup depot to our clients, with opportunities to collect and deliver items across various facilities. With routes covering Toronto and the GTA, you'll be able to return home each night. Embrace a rewarding CAREER with VG Meats! Requirements

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in handling time and temperature-sensitive products
• At least 3 years of driving experience relevant to the role
• Ability to drive in urban areas
• Positive attitude paired with good verbal and written communication skills in English
• A clean Driver’s Abstract
• Criminal background check
• Reference letters from current and previous employers evidencing a total of 3 years of driving experience. (References can be from multiple positions amounting to the required experience, where experience exists).

Responsibilities

• Handle daily deliveries from our pickup depot to our clients.
• Collect and deliver items across various facilities.
• Make daily deliveries and coordinate with the Shipping/Receiving department, Administrative staff, and the Logistics Supervisor to ensure the accurate handling of paperwork, customer orders, and shipment details.
• Use of your cellular device to navigate routes using Route4Me.
• Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
• Load/unload vans with product weighing up to 25 kg.
