About The Position

The Route Delivery Driver delivers products to customer locations such as bars, restaurants, and hotels. The role includes inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning the vehicle in accordance with company and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety guidelines. The driver reviews standing orders, develops sales, processes payments, and maintains delivery records. This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates receiving a conditional offer must pass a drug test.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
DOT certification.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Deliver products statewide to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for delivered goods.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously, following traffic laws and safety regulations.
Check in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in & Accounting Cashier.
Complete daily paperwork, including the DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Follow company uniform standards and report to work neat, clean, and properly attired.
Plan trip logistics and obtain documents needed to transport goods.
Load and unload cargo using required safety equipment, and secure cargo in compliance with safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Keep the vehicle, products, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
