About The Position

BioTrans LLC, a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology, and infrastructure for the life sciences industry, is seeking a full-time Route Delivery Driver for its Frederick, Maryland hub. The role involves Sunday–Friday route deliveries, in-state and out-of-state driving, and early morning starts as early as 3:00 a.m. Some routes include overnight stays in hotels paid for by the company. A DOT Medical Card is required.

The driver safely operates, loads, unloads, and delivers freight using 24–26 ft. box trucks, smaller box trucks, and cargo vans. The position requires following assigned routes and schedules, complying with DOT regulations and company procedures, maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness, and using GPS and scanning devices. Work includes frequent exposure to outdoor weather, repeated entry into and exit from vehicles, extended periods of sitting, and frequent lifting and bending.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license or Real ID.
• Acceptable driving record: no more than two moving violations in the past three years and no DWI/DUI in the past five years, for insurance purposes.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Background check required.
• Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn company workflow-related applications.
• Experience driving cargo vans and box trucks.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, load, unload, and deliver freight using 24–26 ft. box trucks, smaller box trucks, and cargo vans.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to DOT rules and regulations and company policies and SOPs.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
• Navigate surrounding areas using GPS and operate scanning devices.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Fuel the truck as needed and report issues to dispatch or managers through appropriate channels.
• Clean, wash, and sanitize assigned vehicles.
