About The Position
Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Rough Grader to inspect and grade used tires before they proceed to final grading. The role involves identifying defects and deciding whether tires meet quality standards as good used tires. Training is provided on grading tires according to their remaining life. The Rough Grader also sorts tires by grade and tracks them for inventory. This is a physically demanding position performed in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to inspect accurately and quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day.
- Dependability and reliable transportation.
- Must have steel-toe boots.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload tires from trucks.
- Determine the grade of used tires.
- Separate tires by grade and track inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
