About The Position
Liberty Tire Recycling is hiring a Rough Grader to inspect and grade tires before they proceed to final grading. The role helps ensure tires meet quality standards by identifying defects and assessing whether used tires are suitable for use. Training is provided on evaluating used tires in relation to their remaining life. The Rough Grader also sorts tire grades and tracks them for inventory purposes. This is physically demanding work performed in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to inspect accurately and quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day.
- Dependability and reliable transportation.
- Must have steel-toe boots.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload tires from trucks.
- Stack tires on the dock.
- Determine the grade of used tires.
- Separate tires by grade and track inventory.
- Clean throughout the plant area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
