About The Position

The Rough Grader inspects and grades used truck tires before final processing, ensuring they meet company quality standards. The role involves identifying defects, determining whether tires qualify as usable products, evaluating tire life and condition, sorting tires by grade, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. This physically demanding position is performed in all weather conditions and requires handling heavy truck tires.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect truck tires accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Must have steel toe boots.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in tire recycling, trucking, a warehouse, or an industrial environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload truck tires from trucks.
• Inspect used truck tires and determine their grade based on condition and usability.
• Sort truck tires by grade and maintain accurate inventory tracking.
• Move and handle large, heavy truck tires throughout the yard or facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
