Roto Mold Operator - PlayCore Southern Fulfillment Center
About The Position
The Roto Mold Operator is responsible for entering process parameters into the RotoMold machine computer, weighing necessary powder, and operating and maintaining molds. This role involves operating equipment and machinery to produce quality plastic parts, completing secondary operations as required, and assisting with mold preparation, machine operation, packing, and assembly. The position requires adherence to company mission and values, ensuring quality production, and managing equipment for inventory. The operator must accurately report daily production and maintain a safe and clean working environment. This role also requires the ability to read and understand work schedules, blueprints, and meet daily production goals.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have solid work experience.
- Must be able to visually distinguish different colors.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift operator skills.
- Ability to lift or hold heavy items.
- Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per shift.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Willing and able to work ANY shift, which may include weekends and overtime.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Operate Hoist is a plus.
- Tape Measure Reading.
Responsibilities
- Enter process parameters into RotoMold machine computer.
- Weigh up necessary powder.
- Operate and maintain molds.
- Operate necessary equipment and/or machinery to produce a quality plastic part.
- Complete secondary operations of plastic parts as required.
- Perform Rotomold Associate duties including mold prep, machine operation, packing, and assembly.
- Manage process, identification, package, and storing equipment for inventory to prevent damage during transport.
- Use necessary equipment including hoist, die grinders, drills, routers, and forklift.
- Accurately report daily production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Read and understand the work schedule board and blueprints.
- Meet daily goals for production.
