About The Position

M/D Totco is seeking a Rotational Field Service Technician in the Odessa, Texas area to install, maintain, and service NOV-M/D Totco rental systems throughout West Texas. The technician works independently at customer locations, installs and commissions equipment and software, provides customer training, maintains systems, and responds to service calls. The position requires extensive travel, on-call availability, and a 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule with 12+ hour workdays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of oil and gas equipment, hardware, and software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel more than 75% and be on call.
• Ability to work a 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule with 12+ hour days.
• Must be at least 21 years old and pass background, driving record, and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of technical experience.
• Electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with little supervision.
• Travel to customer locations to install, calibrate, test, and commission NOV-MD Totco equipment and software.
• Provide onsite training to customers in the safe operation and use of M/D Totco systems.
• Perform general maintenance on NOV-MD Totco equipment and software, including updates, upgrades, and replacement.
• Respond to and manage service calls that require more time than anticipated.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, handle additional equipment requests, and rig equipment up or down as needed.
• Diagnose and solve problems based on non-technical descriptions provided by customers.
• Provide superb customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports, billing tickets, and other job-relevant documents.
