The Room Service (RS) Facilitator is responsible for completing assigned duties and tasks professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner. This role requires a thorough understanding of the Room Service/Tray Monitor System and involves the assembly of RS meals for patients/customers. The facilitator must be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring courteous, accurate, and timely service. Responsibilities include cleaning work surfaces, equipment, and floors, assisting in transporting Room Service Carts to units, and notifying appropriate care providers of patient meal service needs. The role also involves maintaining politeness and helpfulness towards colleagues and customers, working in the dish-room or other areas as needed, and upholding DHEC/DNV regulations regarding food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation. Recording food service and DHEC reports, logs, and records, as well as adhering to proper personal and hand hygiene practices, are essential. The facilitator must relay any identified problems to the Coordinator/Supervisor/Management promptly and be flexible with schedule times. These responsibilities collectively contribute to meeting the nutrition, safety, and specific needs of patients and all others served. The role also includes completing any other duties assigned by a Supervisor, Coordinator, Lead, or Management.
