About The Position

The Room Service Ambassador instructs patients on the Room Service meal ordering system, assesses their ability to use it, and assists with placing orders as needed. The role briefly reviews diet basics related to each patient’s personalized menu and maintains constant communication with call center representatives. The position is part time and is scheduled on weekends from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is based in Nutrition & Food Services Kitchen at the Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
• Previous hospitality experience or prior experience in a hospital diet office setting.
• Reasoning, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry or a hospital dietary office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present the SFHS Room Service Program to patients.
• Deliver and retrieve room service trays.
• Complete appropriate Room Service reports.
• Conduct patient intake studies as necessary.
• Resolve issues that may affect the delivery of patient meals.
• Act as a liaison between patients and other departments regarding room service.
• Instruct patients on the Room Service meal ordering system, assess their ability to use it, and assist with orders as needed.
• Briefly review diet basics related to the patient’s personalized menu.
• Maintain communication with call center representatives.
