The Room Coordinator is responsible for assigning rooms according to guest requests and preferences, pre-registering designated guests, preparing key packets, and organizing/coordinating check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups. This role involves reviewing and accommodating requests for room/check-out changes, confirming reservations and cancellations, reviewing out-of-order rooms daily, ensuring rates match market codes, verifying and adjusting guest billing, filing guest paperwork, processing check-ins/check-outs, activating room keys, securing payment, identifying over-commitments, performing duplicate reservation checks, running daily reports, and following up with guests to ensure satisfaction. The position also requires adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, welcoming and assisting guests, communicating effectively, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining positive working relationships. The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, using computers/POS systems, and moving objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds.
