About The Position

The Ambassador - Bellhop engages hotel guests to enhance their service experience by activating all outlet services within the lobby area, such as the Restaurant & Bar, Front Desk, Business Center, and Lounge. This role involves assisting guests with their luggage and responding to requests for special arrangements or services like transportation, reservations, or dry cleaning, either by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers. The Ambassador also handles special requests from guests with unique needs, ensuring their satisfaction. A key part of the role is to gather, summarize, and provide local area knowledge, informing guests about the property and surrounding amenities, including special events and local activities. The Ambassador will contact the necessary individuals or departments (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Server) to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems. Responsibilities also include reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, completing safety training and certifications, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also expected. The role requires welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication using clear and professional language, accurate document preparation, and appropriate telephone etiquette are essential. The Ambassador is expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns, while complying with quality assurance expectations and standards. The position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire work shift, and the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • Driver License (eligible in Spain) required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

  • Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Server) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
