About The Position

Welcomes all guests to the casino and assists guests with luggage to and from their vehicles as well as to their hotel room. This role involves greeting all guests of the hotel/casino and assisting them with their luggage to and from vehicles and hotel rooms. When assisting guests to their room, the Bellhop informs them of the hotel’s facilities and hours of operation. The position also requires issuing luggage claim tags and storing luggage in the bell closet when necessary. Bellhops respond to guest inquiries, direct guests around the hotel, explain the proper use of key systems, and ensure guest satisfaction with their room. They must accurately give directions, information, and recommendations, and ensure the organization and cleanliness of all work areas. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations is essential, along with complying with all reasonable management requests and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • Must be able to read and write to ensure proper and accurate luggage claim tickets.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • You will need to be available to work all shifts.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.

Responsibilities

  • Explains proper use of keys system and ensures the guests' satisfaction with their room.
  • Accurately gives directions, information, and recommendations.
  • Ensures organization and cleanliness of all work areas.
  • Complies with all reasonable requests made by management.
  • The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
