We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our collaborative finance team. This role is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting within a supportive and team-oriented environment. In this role, you will report to the Accounting Supervisor and play an active role in the general ledger and month-end close processes, with ownership over key accounting areas. This position offers broad exposure across the finance organization and an opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge while growing within a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
  • 1+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Foundational knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned areas and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a general ledger system (NetSuite experience is a plus)
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes
  • Exposure to accrual accounting and balance sheet reconciliations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely close
  • Support key accounting areas, including: Accounts payable Vendor deposits Accrued vacation MBO/bonus accruals Other accruals
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals through collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the month-end close process, including identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to review vendor activity and ensure proper expense recognition
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation for internal controls and external audit requests
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as the business continues to scale
