About The Position

The Room Attendant cleans, restocks, and maintains assigned hotel rooms to provide high-touch housekeeping service for each guest stay. The role includes preparing rooms to hotel standards, maintaining supplies and linens, communicating room availability and maintenance needs, and respecting guest privacy.

• Be able to perform routine, repetitive work that may require strenuous physical exertion, including moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive the assigned-room list from the manager and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning.
• Check cleaning-cart inventory and add needed supplies.
• Knock and announce oneself before entering a room, returning later if it is occupied.
• Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets and replace them with fresh items.
• Make beds and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policies.
• Wipe room surfaces and clean mirrors.
• Vacuum floors and remove trash.
• Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletries according to the hotel checklist and policy.
• Conduct a final inspection to ensure each room meets hotel standards.
• Notify the supervisor when rooms are available and report suspicious activity to security.
• Ensure soiled linens are laundered, including loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels as needed.
• Notify the maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area when a guest has checked out.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
