About The Position

SpringHill Suites Memphis Downtown is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic part-time Breakfast Attendant to provide guest service and maintain the hotel's complimentary breakfast buffet. The role involves preparing and maintaining the buffet, ensuring food is fresh and attractively presented, assisting guests, and keeping the breakfast area clean and organized. The scheduled hours are 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Weekend availability is mandatory; weekday shifts may also be scheduled based on business needs. Pay is $14.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous food and beverage experience is required.
• Must be available to work weekends as scheduled.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently report to work by 5:30 AM.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with food service.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Nice To Haves

• Food and beverage experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, or similar hospitality environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain the hotel's complimentary breakfast buffet according to brand standards.
• Ensure breakfast items are fresh, properly stocked, and attractively presented throughout service.
• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive customer service.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, equipment, and serving stations.
• Replenish food, beverages, utensils, and supplies as needed.
• Break down and clean the breakfast area after service, including washing dishes and preparing for the next day.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
