About The Position

As a Room Attendant at the Residence Inn, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms to meet or exceed hotel/franchise standards. This involves meticulous cleaning, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming, as well as ensuring windows are shining, towels are folded correctly, supplies are restocked, and closets are neat and organized with the appropriate number of hangers. You will also be expected to maintain an organized housekeeping closet and cart area, act as a team player by assisting coworkers and training new staff, and serve as a housekeeping ambassador by greeting guests warmly. Additionally, you will follow established safety and security policies and procedures, anticipate problems, and report them to management as needed.

Requirements

Basic English communication skills.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms.
Ability to work in variable temperatures and noise levels.
Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range.
Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Maintain clean and attractive guestrooms, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
Ensure windows are clean, towels are folded correctly, supplies are restocked, and closets are neat and clean with the right amount of hangers.
Keep housekeeping closet and cart area organized and ready.
Assist coworkers, train new staff, and participate in department events.
Greet guests warmly and with a smile.
Follow hotel’s established safety and security policies & procedures.
Anticipate problems and call management as needed.
