About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for performing daily maid service according to established standards, including changing linen, cleaning bathrooms, dusting surfaces, cleaning floors, replenishing amenities, organizing guest belongings, and returning furniture to designated locations. Additionally, the Room Attendant will respond to special requests such as emergency clean-ups and providing extra amenities, and will communicate with guests regarding directions and hotel facilities.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience in hotel or professional work environment preferred.
• One year consecutive work history showing dependability & commitment to the job, OR If a candidate has no work history within the past year, dependability and commitment can be demonstrated through non-paid activity or involvement such as school, extracurricular activities or volunteering.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance with 5 or less absences per year.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal & external customers.
• Ability to quickly solve and respond to problems
• Directions given by supervisor
• Ability to follow directions
• Must work independently
• Must be flexible
• Must have a neat & clean appearance
• Must be able to perform all phases of cleaning.
• Ability to handle pressure & deadlines.
• Must be able to organize & plan tasks.

• Maid work is a very personal guest service, must feel comfortable working around guests & their belongings

Responsibilities

• Perform Daily Maid Service at the standard detailed in the Standard Operating Procedures including the functions of: Change all linen daily, Clean bathroom, Dust all wooden surfaces, Clean and/or vacuum all floors, Replenish amenities, Return guest room amenities, furniture & furnishings to designated locations, Tidy the guests’ personal belongings (i.e. clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc.).
• Respond to varying special requests, including: Emergency clean up, Providing additional requested amenities or furnishings.
• Communicate with guests regarding directions, providing descriptions of hotel amenities and facilities.
