About The Position

The Room Attendant maintains cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction by cleaning, maintaining, and stocking guest rooms and public areas. The role requires thorough room cleaning, attention to detail, and adherence to hotel service standards to provide guests with a comfortable and welcoming stay. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment and supporting the housekeeping team as needed.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet room-turnover deadlines.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to walk and stand 6–8 hours per day.
• Ability to use hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally climb and use balance.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a similar role.
• Ability to speak and understand English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, ensuring all areas are spotless and in good condition.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities according to hotel standards.
• Dust and polish furniture, and clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and remove trash and recyclables from rooms.
• Replenish guest room supplies, including toiletries, beverages, and room amenities.
• Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
• Report maintenance or repair needs in guest rooms to the housekeeping inspector.
• Ensure rooms meet hotel presentation standards before guest arrivals.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Provide additional support to the housekeeping team and perform other duties as assigned.
