About The Position

Oaklawn is seeking a talented individual to become a Room Attendant. This role is crucial in ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction by maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and surrounding areas. The Room Attendant plays a key part in creating a positive experience for every guest, embodying the company's commitment to superior customer service and a friendly, professional image.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of hotel/resort experience.
  • Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Housekeeping team members.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Design the guest's comfort during their stay.
  • Take pride in doing the little things for the comfort of the guest.
  • Take ownership for the cleanliness and maintenance of the guest's rooms and surrounding areas.
  • Help create a positive experience for every guest.
  • Always present a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Provide impeccable guest service to all guests.
  • Cooperate and communicate with all team members and hotel guests with respect, projecting a positive attitude.
  • Complete the Room Attendant Daily Report, correctly identifying the status of each assigned room.
  • Clean the entire bedroom area according to established procedures.
  • Clean the entire bathroom area according to established procedures.
  • Replenish all guest room supplies according to established levels.
  • Report all repairs needed in guest rooms to the Supervisor.
  • Report all items found in vacant rooms to the Supervisor.
  • Report the status of the rooms as they are completed.
  • Stock carts with linen and guest supplies.
  • Follow proper safety, security, and hospitality procedures.
  • Report any suspicious activities to Supervisor or Front Desk.
  • Assist other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
  • Follow established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
