Roofing Service Tech
About The Position
Simon Roofing is seeking a Roofing Service Technician with a strong work ethic and basic construction or roofing knowledge who wants to develop into a commercial roofing professional. The company provides extensive paid training to prepare technicians to evaluate low-slope roofing systems, perform repairs and preventative maintenance, and make repair recommendations. Technicians work directly with clients and are expected to be professional, presentable, and effective communicators. The position pays $23.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience; the posting states that Service Technicians earn an average of $77,000 or more per year. Work is 40 or more hours per week, with an average of 10–15 overtime hours per week. The role includes three annual bonus opportunities: a safety bonus of up to $1,500 per year, an individual performance bonus, and a company bottom-line bonus. Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience.
- A valid driver's license is required to become an authorized company driver.
- Must be at least 21 years old to drive a company vehicle.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to travel out of town for up to 4 weeks at a time when local work is unavailable.
- Ability to work overtime in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written correspondence and verbally in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders from 10 to 40 feet in height.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities
- Follow safety practices on the job and while driving.
- Inspect problem roofs, perform roof repairs, and complete preventative maintenance.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients, listen, clarify, and respond to questions.
- Complete tasks on time, follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
- Drive a company vehicle to clients' buildings daily.
