About The Position

Simon Roofing is seeking a Roofing Service Technician to perform repairs and make repair recommendations, evaluate low-slope roofing systems, and complete preventative maintenance. The company provides extensive paid training, including training for experienced construction candidates. Technicians work directly with clients and drive a company vehicle to client buildings daily. The role offers $23–$33 per hour based on experience; the posting states that Service Technicians make an average of $77,000 or more per year. There are three annual bonus opportunities: a safety bonus of up to $1,500 per year, an individual performance bonus, and a company bottom-line bonus. Requirements

At least 2 years of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience.
Valid driver's license; required to become an authorized company driver.
Must be at least 21 years old to drive a company vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to travel out of town for up to 4 weeks at a time when local work is unavailable.
Ability to work overtime in emergency situations and weekends as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively in written correspondence and verbally in English.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders 10 to 40 feet in height.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varied, extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
Professional, presentable demeanor and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Follow safety practices on the job and while driving.
Inspect problem roofs, perform roof repairs, and complete preventative maintenance.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, listen, clarify, and respond to questions.
Complete tasks on time, follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
Drive a company vehicle to client buildings daily.
Load and unload materials and equipment from varying heights.
Shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand, metal, snow, or dirt.
