About The Position

Simon Roofing is seeking a Roofing Service Technician with a strong work ethic and basic construction or roofing knowledge who wants to develop into a commercial roofing professional. The company provides extensive paid training to perform repairs and make repair recommendations, evaluate low-slope roofing systems, and carry out preventative maintenance. The position involves regular direct interaction with clients and requires professionalism, presentability, and effective communication. Compensation is $23.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience. The posting states that Service Technicians earn an average of more than $77,000 per year. The schedule is 40 or more hours per week, including approximately 10–15 hours of overtime per week. There are three annual bonus opportunities: a safety bonus of up to $1,500 per year, an individual performance bonus, and a company bottom-line bonus. Requirements

At least 2 years of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience.
A valid driver’s license is required to become an authorized company driver.
Must be at least 21 years old to drive a company vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to travel out of town for up to 4 weeks at a time when local work is unavailable.
Ability to work overtime in emergency situations.
Ability to work weekends as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written correspondence.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
Ability to frequently ascend and descend ladders from 10 to 40 feet in height.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varied extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Ability to shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand, metal, snow, or dirt.

Responsibilities

Follow safety procedures on the job and while driving.
Inspect problem roofs, perform roof repairs, and carry out preventative maintenance.
Communicate clearly and persuasively, listen, seek clarification, and respond to questions.
Complete tasks on time, follow instructions, and respond to management direction.
Drive a company vehicle to clients’ buildings daily.
Load and unload materials and equipment.
