About The Position

As a vertically integrated home builder, Clayton serves customers through building, selling, financing, and insuring homes. The Roof Truss Support’s primary responsibility is to band bundles of roof trusses and collect and track cull material for Clayton Home Building Facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of basic math skills.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Passion for quality and attention to detail.
Reliability and ability to work at an efficient pace.
Honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
Positive attitude and ability to model teamwork.
Ability to lift and/or carry over 20 lbs.
Ability to verbally communicate and exchange information effectively with others.
Ability to work primarily standing or walking, with possible bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching in hot and cold conditions.

Responsibilities

Correctly place band boards and bands to ensure trusses are tightly banded.
Safely operate the bander machine.
Cut band boards to size.
Band trusses together in a timely manner.
Collect cull from truss racks and accurately track it on the cull sheet.
Perform other duties as assigned.
