About The Position

Richards Building Supply is seeking a Roof Loader/Warehouse Associate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This hands-on role supports customer service through loading and securing materials, assisting with rooftop deliveries, and performing warehouse operations. The position requires willingness to load products onto rooftops and work safely at heights. The typical Monday–Friday schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime opportunities during the busy season. The employee is home each night.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout the shift.
• Ability and willingness to work on roofs and load products onto rooftops.
• Ability to continually lift 50–100 pounds throughout the day; some lifting of more than 100 pounds is required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts.
• English verbal and written communication skills sufficient to read purchase orders and communicate with team members.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.
• Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience; the employer is willing to train.
• Experience being on roofs.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with materials scheduled for delivery, securing loads and distributing weight in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Assist with loading products onto rooftops and other rooftop delivery tasks.
• Assist in maneuvering delivery vehicles.
• Double-check loads for accuracy and ensure materials are securely fastened for delivery.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Support warehouse shipping and receiving operations.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Follow safety policies, including wearing a safety harness and other required equipment.
