About The Position
Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking a qualified Roll Grinder/Machinist to help maintain, repair, and improve equipment at the facility and support the steelmaking operation. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping and safety efforts and work as part of a team. The position requires rotating shifts. Safety is emphasized throughout the role; candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Associate degree in machining technology or at least 2 years of experience as a machinist.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- At least 5 years of experience as a shop machinist.
- CNC machining and programming experience.
- Cross-training experience.
- A relevant 2- or 4-year technical degree.
- Roll grinding experience.
