About The Position

The CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist sets up and operates CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders to perform routine and repetitive machining operations. The role produces components that meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. The Machinist interprets engineering drawings, verifies completed work using appropriate measurement methods, manages assigned jobs according to established due dates, and reports progress through the current scheduling system. The position is in-office in Medina, just west of Plymouth. Available schedules include first shift Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., or Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; and second shift Monday through Thursday, 3:25 p.m.–1:55 a.m. Compensation is $25.00–$36.00 per hour, with a $3.00-per-hour second-shift premium. A signing bonus of up to $6,000 is available depending on shift.

Requirements

Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree, or equivalent experience.
Ability to set up CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders.
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
Ability to verify work using various measurement methods.
Basic computer skills.
