About The Position

Viant is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment used to manufacture precision parts for the medical device industry. Openings are available for Star Lathe and Citizens machines on 3rd shift; Chucker on 2nd and 3rd shifts; 5-axis on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts; and Millturn on 2nd and 3rd shifts. A 15% shift premium applies to 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role involves operating multiple machines, overseeing setup and tool changes for CNC lathes and mills, and producing small precision parts to close tolerances. Work takes place in a clean, quiet, comfortable environment, with climate control during summer months and hospital-grade clean-room conditions.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two to six years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including three years of CNC experience, or experience as a journeyman machinist.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
• Ability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions.
• Good understanding of shop math.
• Proficient interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
