About The Position

The Roll Form Operator is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of production on the roll forming line. The role uses roll-forming machinery, computerized controls, shop tools, and material-handling equipment, and also performs additional work as a steel saw operator.

The operator follows safety requirements, produces metal components to print specifications, and maintains equipment and records. The work environment has moderate noise, and safety glasses, foot protection, and hearing protectors are required throughout the shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of machine-operating experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read a blueprint.
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with factory supervision.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of roll forming or CNC operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain setup charts for all sets of roll-form tooling.
• Set up tooling and perform line changeovers on the roll-form machine to produce cross sections to print specifications.
• Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional tolerances.
• Maintain all roll-form line equipment and log maintenance performed.
• Read basic blueprints and sketches to fabricate metal components.
• Operate equipment under strict safety requirements.
• Load flatbeds and open-top containers.
• Unload flatbeds.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
