Robotics Software Engineering Intern
About The Position
Knightscope is a security technology company building the Nation’s First Autonomous Security Force. The Company combines autonomous machines, advanced software, and human expertise to help protect people, property, and critical infrastructure. Knightscope’s long-term mission is to make the United States of America the safest country in the world. This is not a remote role. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site. Knightscope is seeking B.S./M.S. interns to support software development for autonomous robotic platforms. You will work on real robot systems, contributing to software, integration, and testing.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Robotics, EE, ME, CS, or related
- Experience with C++, Python, or similar
- Familiarity with Linux
- Interest in robotics and hands-on development
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to ROS/ROS2 or sensors
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve robotics software
- Support integration, testing, and debugging
- Work across perception, controls, and systems teams
- Document software and workflows
