About The Position

We are helping our client hire a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots. This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry.

Requirements

Experience with mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment.
Proficiency in assembling and disassembling products, installing custom electronic modules, and working with AC/DC currents.
Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license (MVR must be clean for the last 12 months).
Comfortable working in field settings; no CDL required.
Attention to detail and a structured, logical approach to problem-solving.
Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Creative and adaptable mindset to tackle diverse challenges.

Nice To Haves

Soldering skills (a plus).
Background in automotive plants, dealership service, or similar environments.
Advanced computer literacy

Responsibilities

Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
