About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern to join its Critical Infrastructure team. The role supports the design and delivery of highway and roadway projects, including preparation of construction documents and geometric design. The intern will use design software and CAE/CAD applications, perform quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys, and contribute technical input to the project team. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support project delivery. No security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist with geometric design of highways and roadways, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, superelevation diagrams, gore details, vertical clearance calculations, and grading plans.
Perform material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and field surveys as required.
Use design software and CAE/CAD applications to develop and implement project designs.
Provide technical guidance and input to CAD drafters, designers, and other engineers on the project team.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project delivery.
