About The Position

HDR is hiring a Roadway EIT/Coordinator to contribute to transportation projects as part of its Transportation Business Group. The role supports the design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying sizes and complexity for Federal, State, and Local clients. Work includes developing transportation systems such as highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities, as well as contributing to technical documentation and project cost estimates.

Candidates without an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate may be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain the EIT for career progression.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and are expected to obtain the EIT for career progression.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with and demonstrated experience using highway and road engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Work with other project engineers on detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
• Design transportation systems, including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction cost estimates.
• Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
