Road Supervisors are responsible for providing direct oversight of vehicle operators on the street. This role involves observing driving skills and work habits of drivers in the field, ensuring operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards, and possess proper licensing and certifications. The position also assists dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle change-outs, aids operators with service or passenger problems, and conducts road observations according to client and local policy. The Road Supervisor monitors street operations for on-time performance and schedule adherence, provides feedback to safety and operations departments on service items affecting safety and performance, identifies potential safety hazards, and incorporates feedback into daily operations procedures. This role requires following company safety and operational rules and procedures, working under stress, and meeting strict timelines. Responsibilities include onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam monitoring, and mentoring/coaching drivers, as well as monitoring pull-outs and service areas, and conducting vehicle accident investigations. Other duties as required.
