About The Position

In partnership with the City of Scottsdale, the Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental or regulatory standards. This role ensures the efficient mechanical operation and appearance of each vehicle is maintained. The Road Supervisor will monitor all accident and injury investigations, as well as passenger comments and complaints regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers. Additionally, this role ensures all daily routes are supplied with drivers and develops utilization reports to establish cost-effective routes and schedules to meet the needs of the customer and client.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have valid U.S. Driver’s license for past 3 years
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver Class A or B CDL with a Passenger Endorsement (PE)
  • No more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the past 5 years
  • No more than 2 violations of No Liability Insurance in the past 5 years
  • No Reckless Driving or driving with a suspended license within the past 7 years and no more than 2 in a lifetime
  • No DUI or DWI convictions
  • Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must pass criminal background check and investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a driver in similar service
  • 1 year experience in safety & on-the-road service management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a supervisory role preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT and FTA safety regulations preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accident investigation preferred
  • Knowledge of Safety and training practices and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Oversee on time performance measures of drivers, monitor driving and safety practices of drivers daily
  • Provide oversight of fleet maintenance program
  • Respond and coordinate data and photo collection at accident and incident scenes
  • Investigate and assist with accident determination
  • Assist drivers with questions, customer assistance and overall on the road support
  • Assist customers with information and complaint resolution
  • Provide management with reports to assist with the evaluation of route and schedule effectiveness
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required
