About The Position

Road Supervisors provide direct oversight of vehicle operators on the street. They observe driving skills and work habits of drivers in the field, ensuring that all operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards, and possess proper licensing and certifications. This role involves assisting dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle change outs, helping operators with service or passenger problems, and conducting road observations according to client and local policy. The supervisor monitors street operations for on-time performance and schedule adherence, provides feedback to safety and operations departments on service items affecting safety and performance, and identifies potential safety hazards. They are responsible for onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam usage, and mentoring/coaching drivers. Additionally, they monitor pull-outs and service areas, conduct vehicle accident investigations, and perform other required duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with passenger endorsement
  • Must pass a DMV driving record check and maintain clean driving record throughout employment
  • Must be able to exhibit excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, federal fingerprinting and a DOT physical examination
  • Ability to operate iPad, cellphone and personal computer
  • Must have intermediate MS Office and e-mail experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments
  • Ability to work independently and objectively
  • Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines

  • Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service items that affect safety and performance, identify potential safety hazards and provide feedback to be incorporated into daily operations procedures
  • Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures
  • Responsible for onboard evaluations, trail checks, drive cam and mentoring/coaching drivers
