About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a motivated Road Supervisor to support our paratransit operations in Anchorage, Alaska. This field-based leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service while supporting operators, promoting a strong safety culture, and maintaining compliance with company, client, DOT, and FTA requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation operations and safety practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet all MV Transportation and client qualification requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of ADA transportation requirements.
  • Experience with accident investigations, employee coaching, or safety programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience in public transportation, paratransit, or a related transportation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily street operations to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time service.
  • Conduct ride checks, gate checks, field observations, and service audits.
  • Respond to accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, and service disruptions.
  • Support safety initiatives through coaching, observations, and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch and Maintenance to resolve operational issues.
  • Complete reports, investigations, and required documentation.
  • Monitor operator compliance with licensing, uniforms, and company policies.
  • Fill driving assignments when needed to maintain service.
