About The Position

Bobcat - GDN is seeking a Road Service Technician to provide equipment service and represent the company in customer relations. The role focuses on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing compact equipment, especially Bobcat equipment, while delivering responsive service to customers. The position is full-time, pays $26 per hour, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A CDL is required.

The technician works with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental teams and may perform other duties assigned by the Service Manager. The work takes place indoors and outdoors and involves exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, extreme conditions, and loud noise. The role is physically active and involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and frequently moving items over 50 pounds.

Pre-employment drug screening, a background check, and proof of employment eligibility through E-Verify are required for candidates offered a position.

Requirements

• CDL Class A license.
• At least 5 years of experience in service technician work or heavy equipment service operations, such as skid steers and excavators.
• Strong mechanical background, including diagnostic, diesel mechanic, hydraulic, and electrical skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, and energetic.
• Able to stay calm under pressure while managing multiple ongoing projects.
• Computer skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers.
• Able to perform the physical activities of the job, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, and frequently lifting or moving items over 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet pre-employment drug-screening, background-check, and employment-eligibility verification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls.
• Perform welding.
• Work effectively with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental teams.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
