About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on customer equipment at their locations, ensuring minimal downtime. The role involves working with a diverse fleet, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and potentially large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment, often in challenging remote locations. The position offers opportunities for skill development in service or operations management within a safety-focused, entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1 to 3 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more.
Working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities
