RN | Inpatient Rehab | East Campus | Fulltime - Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in inpatient rehabilitation at the East Campus on a full-time night shift. In conjunction with the medical plan of care, the nurse independently performs systematic, continuous assessments of assigned patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs. The nurse plans and implements appropriate interventions, evaluates their effectiveness, and adjusts the plan in a timely manner to provide safe and effective care. Freeman Rehabilitation Services provides inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy at multiple locations. Occupational therapists help patients improve their ability to perform tasks in living and working environments and support recovery and adaptation in settings including acute care, home healthcare, pediatrics, and work performance rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or a current Registered Nurse license from a compact state; a compact license must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
- If the nurse has no RN or LPN experience in a hospital setting, or has not worked in a hospital setting for more than five years, successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
- Complete RN Competency Day annually by the transcript due date.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct systematic, continuous assessments of assigned patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs in conjunction with the medical plan of care.
- Plan and implement appropriate patient-care interventions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust the plan as indicated in a timely manner.
