Per Diem RN - ICU/Evening and Nights
About The Position
Bristol Health is hiring a per diem Registered Nurse for the ICU, with evening and night shifts. The role involves providing patient care in an acute or subacute care environment while upholding Bristol Health’s values of Communication, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy. The position is based at Bristol Hospital Main Campus in Bristol, Connecticut. The nurse must complete general orientation, required annual fire, safety, and infection-control education, BLS training, and unit-based competency requirements. The work environment includes regular exposure to patient elements and occasional stress. Duties may extend beyond normal responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- BSN or associate degree.
- Current Connecticut RN license in good standing.
- One year of clinical nursing experience in an acute or subacute care environment.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Successfully complete general orientation at hire and annual fire, safety, and infection-control education.
- Healthcare Provider CPR with BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Successfully complete training programs required by the Education & HRD department and unit-based competency requirements.
- Strong team skills.
- Meet the role’s physical requirements, including repeatedly lifting more than 50 pounds throughout the workday.
