ICU RN Per Diem Nights
About The Position
Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse to work per diem nights in its Intensive Care Unit. The hospital has earned its seventh consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The ICU RN contributes to a collaborative nursing team and provides patient care according to Nursing Standards and established Standards of Care. The position requires a New Jersey Registered Nurse license and BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association. One year of experience and a BSN are preferred. ACLS, ECG, and Critical Care courses are completed during clinical orientation.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
- Obtain ACLS certification during clinical orientation.
- Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.
- Complete a Critical Care course during clinical orientation.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the collaborative nursing team.
- Use assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients according to Nursing Standards.
- Perform procedures based on established Standards of Care.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care.
