About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Float Pool team at Tacoma General Hospital. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care with a multidisciplinary approach. The position is part-time at 0.6 FTE, working two 12-hour night shifts per week. Current or recent ICU/PCU experience is preferred. Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Two years of experience in an acute care setting.
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Current or recent ICU/PCU experience.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patients’ autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
