About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist coordinates wound care therapy as part of the total nursing care plan for patients. The specialist participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The role also performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This position reports to the Director of Wound Care.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, supported by documents or credentials.
Current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working.
Current CPR certification and maintenance of that certification.
Two years of direct patient care experience.

Nice To Haves

Certification from an approved Wound Care Certification course.
Experience in emergency care, critical care, or ET nursing.

Responsibilities

Coordinate wound care therapy as part of the total nursing care plan for patients.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
