About The Position

PAM Health Specialty Hospital in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to medically complex patients in an acute care setting. The role offers PRN scheduling with no minimum shift requirements and may suit therapists seeking supplemental work or greater work-life balance. Inpatient hospital experience is preferred, while therapists eager to develop their clinical skills in acute care are also welcome. The hospital is a 24-bed critical care facility specializing in the treatment and recovery of patients with serious illnesses and injuries, including trauma, stroke, cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases, complex wounds, amputations, and ventilator-weaning needs. The therapist works with patients and families and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery, function, and independence. The Physical Therapist is responsible for patient management and the delivery, direction, and supervision of care in an age-appropriate manner, consistent with the applicable state Physical Therapy Practice Act, professional code of ethics, and PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

Current Physical Therapist license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of clinical experience is preferred.
Inpatient hospital experience is preferred.
Willingness to learn and expand clinical skills in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Manage patients and provide physical therapy care in an age-appropriate manner.
Direct and supervise the care provided in accordance with the applicable state Physical Therapy Practice Act, professional code of ethics, and PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients' recovery, function, and independence.
