About The Position
The Physical Therapist works in a skilled nursing facility to help patients return to optimal physical function and achieve patient, physician, and therapy goals. The role also includes teaching patients how to maintain their functional level after discharge through education, an independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Active, unencumbered license granted by the state of employment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate service delivery software and electronic health record software.
Responsibilities
- Help patients return to optimal physical function and achieve patient, physician, and therapy goals in a skilled nursing facility.
- Instruct patients on maintaining their achieved level of function after discharge through education, an independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification.
