Physical Therapist (PT) - PRN
About The Position
Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed, patient-focused Physical Therapist to provide skilled physical therapy to short-term and long-term residents. The therapist will help people with physical, mental, or developmental conditions develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills, delivering effective, client-centered services that support confidence and independence in everyday activities. The role calls for a holistic perspective and the ability to adapt environments to fit individuals. This is a per-diem (PRN) position in Rocky River, Ohio. Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is a family-owned and operated therapy company focused on quality patient care and customer service. The therapist will work with the facility and its staff as part of an energetic, creative therapy team.
Requirements
- Valid license to practice physical therapy.
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and basic math skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess, evaluate, and treat short-term and long-term residents who would benefit from skilled physical therapy services.
- Complete timely, high-quality documentation, including evaluations, re-certifications, and discharges.
- Directly and indirectly supervise physical therapist assistants.
- Conduct quarterly screens and/or evaluations of long-term residents.
- Develop and help oversee restorative nursing programs.
- Assist with insurance authorizations and appeals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to the overall needs of the facility and facility staff.
