About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for its Medical Telemetry Unit on the night shift. The coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for nursing care in the department. Under the direction of the department manager, the role leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to staff development. The coordinator also works to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent, Gold Standard customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Registered nursing license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• At least 18 months of acute care RN experience required.
• ACLS required within one year of hire for Critical Care/IMCU.
• NIH certification required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• MSN preferred.
• Professional specialty nursing certification preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Acute care nursing background preferred.
