About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for its Medical Telemetry Unit on the night shift. The coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty and provides clinical leadership for nursing care delivery. Under the direction of the department manager, the coordinator leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses and simplifies workflow, contributes to staff development, increases staff satisfaction, and promotes excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; an MSN is preferred.
- Registered nursing license required.
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS required within one year of hire for Critical Care/IMCU.
- NIH certification required within one year of hire.
- At least 18 months of acute care RN experience required.
- Experience in telemetry and/or medical nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Professional specialty nursing certification preferred.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Acute care nursing background preferred.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
