Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence.
  • Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
  • Clear results of a thorough background screening.
  • All new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
  • Subject to drug/nicotine testing (FCS is a drug-free and tobacco/nicotine free workplace; individuals who use products containing tobacco/nicotine of any kind, including nicotine patches, gum, e-cigarettes, etc are ineligible for hire).

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming phone calls regarding patients.
  • Consults with Head Nurse and/or physician to present patient’s problem and resolve the problem or direct calls to appropriate person.
